Other reading books
I love reading original graded readers, I love writing them – and I really love talking to enthusiasts and other writers, like Karen Slikas Barber, author of the Carly and Kumar books. My biggest delight, though, is when teachers tell me, “The students loved your book,” or, “They insisted on reading more.”
I started by writing readers for other publishers before I moved on to my own Book Next Door series:
